**update**

AHH its been so long since I've posted an update. I'll start with good/fun stuff first.

Last week Thursday (Sept. 12) Tanisha, Brant and I decided to head to the Puyallup Fair to surprise Grandma Joyce and help out with the horses for the day. We were successful, she was shocked when we walked into the trailer! We had a lot of fun. Brant did AWESOME. He was loving it and had no fits what-so-ever. It was a great but long day. He loves Grandma Joyce- every time he's around her he just giggles and smiles. He was definitely interested in the horses too. We watched the first show and he was so focused on all the hitches as they went by. We probably shouldn't have brought him with us, it was quite a bit of exposure for him, but I just couldn't stay away... I love it too much! I made sure I had plenty of hand sanitizer and we didn't wander out of the barn at all except to go the back way to the trailer.

Friday night I sold my car. Was not sad to see that thing go. Don't get me wrong I loved it... when it was running good... but we figured since I bought it about about a year and a half ago we spent probably $300/month just on maintenance on things that should not have been going wrong. Plus it needed probably $1500+ put into it before winter. I didn't feel bad selling it to the girl either, she knew the issues and what needed to go into it and we were able to get just under our asking price. I'm driving one of Wayne & Nicki's spare rigs while we figure out what we want to do. We keep going back and forth on what we want and how much we want to spend.

Back to Brant...

Brant had been off oxygen for about 4 days during the day, the only time he would have it on was when he slept. My plan was to call Children's Wednesday morning and schedule a time to do the 2 night sleep study. His oxygen supplier would bring out a piece to hook to his monitor that would transmit his sats to Children's during the night while he slept without oxygen. We would do that for 2 nights and then Children's would let us know the verdict on taking it off all the time or if he needed a little more time on it. BUT...... Tuesday night he came down with a nasty cold. Poor little guy. I took him to the doctor Wednesday. I was kind of upset with the nurse that I talked to on the phone when I first called. I told her he is a preemie, on oxygen, has a nasty cough, and extremely congested and that I wanted a doctor to see him (his pulmonologist has told us from the start if he gets a cough to bring him in right away). And she wanted me to wait until his O2 sats started dropping or he changed color, or spiked a fever. Seriously?? You know how freaked out I would've been if that would've happened! I told her NO so she reluctantly scheduled an appt. for an hour and a half later.

They checked him out and his lungs sounded fine, which is the biggest concern given his respiratory issues. And the doctor said there was really nothing they could do for him, which is what I figured they would say but I wanted to make sure his lungs sounded okay especially because his cough sounded so nasty. Plus is was just peace of mind for me and Darren. Last night was by far the worst. We were up every hour.... he either woke up from coughing so much and had to be cuddled and walked through the house to go back to sleep, needed his nose sucked out, or was hungry. He finally went to sleep and was hard asleep around 6. When my alarm to get up for work went off at 6:45 I thought there was no way I was getting up and heading to work so I went back to bed and called in at 8 asking if I could come in late and because my boss is awesome I went back to bed for another hour.

Tonight I've been pretty emotional. Once we got home Brant did nothing but cry. Nothing I did made him happy, and his epic pouting plus my lack of sleep made me cry while I was trying to get him to go to sleep. If there is one thing that boy knows how to do its knowing when to throw an epic pout face! Talk about melt your heart! Oh he has me so wrapped around his finger!

The last week I've also been working on re-doing the guest bathroom. I've almost got it finished, just need Darren's help with the last 2 projects so who knows when that'll get done! He's been so busy lately and its only going to get busier. The other night he mowed the lawn in the dark... sorry to our neighbors for all the noise! But it needed to be done so bad! The backyard was looking a little trailer trashy.

Well that's all I have for right now. Prayers that Brant kicks this cold fast so we can restart our oxygen weaning. My hopes is that he kicks the cold and that it'll take him a week to a week & a half to get ready to do the sleep study. It really sucks going backwards when we were so close to being done with it!!!! But that is life. Hopefully soon I can sit down and go through/edit some of my pictures and get them up here, I'm slacking in that department!
